Xenia Geugelin is active as a soloist as well as a chamber and orchestral musician. She is a multiple prizewinner of many national and international competitions. Since 2022 she has played as deputy principal 2nd violin in the Münchner Rundfunkorchester.

She received her first lessons from Professors Wolfgang Marschner, Jörg Hofmann and Gottfried von der Goltz in the preliminary class at the Freiburg University of Music. She studied with Prof Ingolf Turban (Munich), Prof Josef Rissin (Karlsruhe) and Prof Martin Funda (Stuttgart). She gained further formative impressions from Prof. Eberhard Feltz, Prof. Pierre Amoyal, Prof. Stephan Picard, Prof. Albrecht Breuninger and Prof. Boris Garlitzky.

As a sought-after chamber musician, she is a frequent guest at festivals such as the Salzburg Festival, Eggenfelden Klassisch and the Podium Festival Esslingen. Xenia Geugelin has performed as a soloist with the Baden-Baden Philharmonic Orchestra and the Orquesta Filarmónica de San Pedro Sula. Concerts have taken her to European concert halls, including the Royal Albert Hall London, Concertgebouw Amsterdam and Musikverein Vienna, as well as to the United Arab Emirates and Honduras.

She was a member of the Mahler Jugendorchester, concertmaster of the Holst-Sinfonietta Freiburg and the Landesjugendorchester Baden Württemberg. She has played in several projects with the two European chamber orchestras Alma Mahler and O/Modernt, as well as in the Ensemble Reflektor, the Munich Philharmonic and with leading musicians of the Mahler Chamber Orchestra.

Xenia Geugelin is a double prizewinner of the Tonali competition, won first prize at the WESPE competition and is a winner of the international Handel competition. She has also received first prizes from the Bundesapothekerkammer and the Stadtwerken Schwerin, among others. Xenia Geugelin was a scholarship holder of the Stipendiatin der Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes for seven years. She has also received scholarships from the Museumsgesellschaft Freiburg, "Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now" and the Fondazione Busoni Mahler.

Xenia Geugelin aims to create engaging and inclusive concerts for audiences of all ages and backgrounds and is committed to giving female composers a greater voice. The Weinberg Prize from the Peermusic publishing house and the Trede Foundation Audience Award have enabled her to open up traditional concert formats and realise new concert concepts.

She plays a violin by Francesco Ruggieri from 1696, on loan from the Baden-Württemberg State Collection.
