Samuel Hirsch | violin, Switzerland

Born in 1999 in Switzerland, Samuel Hirsch studied violin under François Sochard, and Renaud Capuçon in Lausanne University of Music. There he obtained the special prize Paléo-Hes-so “for his exceptional Bachelor level” along with several other prizes. He is now studying at the International Menuhin Music Academy under Oleg Kaskiv.

He has notably won prizes at the Swiss Youth Music Competition, and was nominated for the Youth Prize Lausanne, in December 2015. In 2016 he wins the EMCY Prize (European Union of Music Competitions for Youth). In March 2019, he is finalist and Special Prize of interpretation at the International Grumiaux Competition for young violinists. 

He often performs in Swizerland and in Europe in Chamber Music, recital and as soloist.
