Line Faber | Violine, Luxemburg

Luxembourgish violinist Line Faber performs regularly across Europe as a chamber and  orchestral musician.  

She is currently studying with Prof. Lorenza Borrani at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole and  holds a position at the Konzerthaus Orchester Berlin for the 22/23 season.  

Line has appeared in numerous festivals such as the Beethoven Fest Bonn, Rheingau  Musik Festival, Fiskars Festival, Musethica Festival, Chipping Campden Festival and  Musica Mundi Chamber Music Festival, and performed in venues including the Wigmore  Hall, Elbphilharmonie, Concertgebouw Amsterdam and Konzerthaus Berlin. 

As a passionate chamber musician, she has performed alongside Steven Isserlis, Nicola  Benedetti, Thomas Carroll, the New York based Harlem Quartet, the Ensemble Spira  Mirabilis and members of the Chamber Orchestra of Europe. 

Line has appeared as a soloist with orchestras such as the Brussels Chamber Orchestra  and I Musici Brucellensis Orchestra. 

She took part in the English National Opera Scheme in 2018 and from 2019 to 2021 she  was a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra, playing under the baton of Marin  Alsop, Stéphane Denève, Vasily Petrenko and Pablo Heras-Casado. 

Line has undertaken masterclasses with numerous artists including Alina Ibragimova, Ivry  Gitlis, György Pauk, Ulf Wallin, Isabelle van Keulen, Peter Herresthal and Marc Danel. She  has had the pleasure of performing Beethoven’s Violin Concerto conducted by Maxim  Vengerov in a masterclass held at the Royal College of Music in London.  

Line graduated with First Class Honours from her Bachelors in Music and with distinction  from her Masters in Performance degree at the Royal College of Music in London having  studied with Prof. Mark Messenger and Prof. Radu Blidar. She previously studied with  Prof. Leonid Kerbel at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels.
