Born in Chisinau, Constantin began his cello studies at the age of 6 in his hometown, with teachers Valentina Komissarova and Bella Savici. During his high school years, he actively participated in class concerts as well as in several competitions. After graduating high school, he moved to Bucharest where he successfully completed his Bachelor's and Master's studies at the National University of Music Bucharest, in the class of the distinguished professor Marin Cazacu.

Over the years, he benefited from 2 Erasmus scholarships that allowed him to deepen his musical studies: the first at the Royal Conservatory of Music Ghent, Belgium and the second at the University of Arts in Berlin.

He regularly participates in national and international competitions, having received more than 20 awards so far. Among the most important ones we mention: Finalist at the Riga Classic Strings International Competition (Latvia 2018), Semi-finalist at the Aram Khachaturian International Competition in Armenia (2022), First Prize and Special Prize of the French Embassy at the Mihail Jora Competition (Bucharest 2019), Third Prize - Domenico Gabrielli International Competition (Berlin 2021) and Second Prize - George Enescu International Competition (Bucharest 2022).

He participated in the masterclasses held by distinguished musicians and teachers: Gautier Capucon, Valentin Răduțiu, Stefan Popov, Justus Grimm, Jeroen Reuling, Cătălin Ilea, Mirel Iancovici, Konstantin Heidrich, Reinhardt Latzko, Judith Ermert, Miklos Perenyi, Sebastian Klinger and others.

Constantin Borodin is actively involved in chamber music masterclasses, too. He received scholarship at Sonoro (giving concerts in Italy and Romania), participated in the ISA (Austria), ECMA Masterclass (Switzerland), Cello Academie Rutesheim (Germany), Landesacademie Ochsenhausen (Germany) and Lumières d'Europe (France). During these masterclasses he had the opportunity to work and play with musicians of international stature: David Grimal, Claire Desert, Ida Bieler, Miclen LaiPang, Francois Benda, Sebastian Klinger, Claudio Bohorquez, Diana Ketler, Corina Belcea, Hatto Beyerle, Patrick Judt, etc. and to hold recitals in Paris, Ochsenhausen, Montepulciano, Rutesheim, Bern, Bucharest, Reihenau an der Rax, etc.

As a soloist, he performed concerts with the philharmonic orchestras in Bucharest, Satu Mare, Râmnicu Vâlcea, Pitești, Bacău; The Youth Orchestra of Moldova, the Alt-Hastedter Kammerorchester Bremen, the Riga Philharmonic, the Simfonietta orchestra from Berlin, National Chamber Orchestra of Moldova and also with the Radio Chamber Orchestra Bucharest.

He held recitals in Bucharest, Berlin, Strasbourg, Rutesheim, Reichenau an der Rax, Ochsenhausen, Ghent, Bern, Chisinau and in the most important cities of Romania.

Constantin is a member of the Romanian National Orchestra with whom he has performed on stages in Bucharest, Sinaia, Sofia, Milan, Aix-en-Provence, Berlin, Linz, Graz, Vienna, Dobiaco, Paris, etc.
He also collaborated with Bucharest Symphony Orchestra (China tour 2015), Brandenburgisches Konzertorchester Eberswalde, Musica Sancta Ensemle (Berlin) and is a member of Geringas Chamber Orchestra.

As a member of the Violoncellissimo ensemble, he gave recitals in the big capital cities of Europe, and not only: Bucharest, Prague, Brussels, Paris, Oslo, Dubai, etc.
