Praised for performing with “..absolute beauty, musicianship and integrity..” (yourobservor), violist Charles Galante is currently a member of Opera Ballet Vlaanderen in Belgium. Before this appointment he served as an academy member of Det Norske Kammerorkester and as guest solo viola of the Arktisk Filharmoni.

Mr. Galante’s festival appearances include Ravinia, Taos, Baltic Sea, Four Seasons, Heifetz, Sarasota and Tanglewood. As a chamber musician he has collaborated with Frans Helmerson, Timothy Eddy, Silk Road Ensemble, Colin Carr, Charles Neidich, James Dunham and has served as a member of the Jupiter Chamber Players and Noree Chamber Soloists.

Charles holds degrees from The Juilliard School and Yale University. He has been a recipient of the Maurice Schwarz Prize (Tanglewood), Presser Undergraduate Scholar Award (Juilliard) and the Virtu Foundation Instrument Award.

A huge proponent for the physical well-being of musicians, Charles is an ISSA certified personal trainer. His areas of expertise are on hypertrophic programming and injury prevention for musicians. He has worked as a trainer in gyms in Norway, Belgium and New York.
