The third generation cellist in her family, Annette Jakovcic has been invited to perform recitals throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia and has been praised for her sound being "transparent...heartbreakingly sincere". (Richard Dyer, Boston Globe). 

Annette has performed in festivals such as the Ravel festival in France,  Pau Casals Festival in Catalonia, ConcertiCorti in Austria,  Lavaux Classic, Niederlenzer Musiktage, and the Gstaad Menuhin Festivals in Switzerland, Festival Neo in Serbia, and Yellow Barn Young Artist Program in the United States. Notable chamber music partners have included Pierre Amoyal, Ettore Causa, Pavel Vernikov, Gérard Poulet, Péter Nagy, and Tamás Varga. Annette has participated in masterclasses with distinguished artists such as Gautier Capuçon, Steven Isserlis, Ivan Monighetti, Philippe Muller, Riccardo Muti, and Maxim Vengerov.

Annette began her studies with Wendy Warner. She pursued her Bachelor's degree with Laurence Lesser at the New England Conservatory in Boston. She was mentored by members of the Cleveland and Juilliard Quartets and as a chamber musician won top prizes in the Plowman and Fischoff International Chamber Music Competitions. She was also a string-quartet fellow at the Bowdoin International Summer Festival and the Juilliard String Quartet Seminar. 

Annette completed her master's degree at the Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg in the class of Clemens Hagen. During her studies she performed the Beethoven Triple Concerto as a soloist at the Salzburg Festspielehaus with the Universität Mozarteum Orchestra and was invited to play a recital under the Stiftung Mozarteum Organization.  

From 2022-2024 Annette was a member of the Vienna Philharmonic Academy program. During this time she won the Fritz Leitermeyer Strings Competition and worked with conductors including Christian Thielemann, Riccardo Muti, Zubin Mehta, Jakub Hrůša, Tugan Sokhiev, Ádám Fischer, Krill Petrenko, and Andris Nelsons. She took part in tours and performed in venues including the Musikverein, Berliner Philharmonie, Suntory Hall, Carnegie Hall, Prague Rudolfinum,  Concertgebouw, and Théâtre des Champs-Élysées and played chamber projects with members of the orchestra.

Annette currently studies with Nicolas Altstaedt at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin.
